Please use the following list of questions to learn more about how to submit your proposal for the awards for National Philanthropy Day.

  • What is National Philanthropy Day?

    The Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Florida Chapter (AFP) recognizes and honors donors, volunteers, professionals, and organizations whose gifts of time, expertise and resources contribute significantly to the quality of life in our community at the National Philanthropy Day event. 

  • When is National Philanthropy Day?

    National Philanthropy Day will be held on the morning of Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Rosen Shingle Creek.

  • Why Choose a local artist?

    AFP chooses to highlight a local artist annually to create the unique awards presented to the winners and sponsors. This allows the community to become aware of the artist and their talents. It also provides for a “one of a kind” award. 

  • What is the budget for each award?

    Up to $110 per award.

  • Does the artist receive any other perks?

    Yes. They will be given 2 seats at the event, recognition at the event, and a 1/4 page ad in Orange Appeal Magazine.

  • How many awards will be needed?

    26 awards total, including 4 distinguished

    awards, 18 honoree* awards, 1 for Presenting

    Sponsor, 2 for event Co-Chairs, and 1 for AFP

    Chapter President

    *The honoree awards can be slightly smaller if desired

  • Are there size or material requirements?

    No, we are looking for creative awards that intertwine the theme of the event.

  • What does the award need to incorporate/include?

    ● The “heart” shape from the National

    Philanthropy Day logo (see above)

    ● A frame or stand (if necessary)

    ● A place holder for the 1-7/8 x 4 inch

    name plate that will be affixed to each

    award

    ● Two size options for various award levels

  • What size is the name plate?

    1-7/8 x 4 inches 

  • Who compiles the information and orders the name plates for the awards?

    NPD Committee

  • Can an artist submit more than one idea?

    Yes

  • What is needed for proposal?

    ● A sketch of your idea(s)

    ● 2-4 photos of representative works

    ● A description of the award

    ● A brief letter of interest

    ● Pricing per award

  • What is needed from the selected artist?

    Signed Artist Agreement Form and a W-9. 

  • Important Dates to Remember

    • Submission Deadline: June 14, 2024
    • Artist Selection & Notification: By July 31, 2024
    • Award Completion/Delivery: November 1, 2024
